Got a question or a correction?

This site runs without a public inbox on purpose — no contact form, no email link, no DM on a platform the author doesn’t check. The noise-to-signal on travel-site inboxes is rough, and every email address published on a Japan travel site I’ve seen ends up buried in sponsored-post pitches within a month.

What does work:

  • Corrections on specific articles — the article comments (when enabled) are the fastest way to get a factual error fixed. Corrections actually applied are listed in the article’s update note at the bottom.
  • Tips or good-find recommendations — if you’ve stayed somewhere great, eaten somewhere memorable, or walked a route worth adding, the same route works. Name the place and the date you were there; I’ll check it on my next trip through.
  • Commercial enquiries, partnership requests, SEO pitches — no, thank you. The site is deliberately independent. Every hotel and tour link here is unpaid.

Start with the right page

If you’re new to the Japan Alps, the itineraries hub has the 5-, 7- and 10-day route breakdowns. The access guide covers trains, buses and the four routes into the region. And if you’re heading up above 2,500m the altitude sickness guide is the one to read first.
